My Goal as a Social Studies Educator

           My Goal/Vision for teaching social studies is quite simple actually. I hope to be able to create an environment in the classroom where students are able to think critically about the world that they live in. I want my students to be able to understand what is happening in the world around them and form their own personal, and educated opinions of the world. I want to be able to discuss serious issues in our society (micro/macro) with my students and challenge them into thinking of ways that they can help to make this world a better place, not only for them, but for future generations.
